Reward chart

January 19, 2018

Last month, we started with our new reward system for the tutoring sessions. We created this in order to motivate the kids to do their best during their classes.

We did a board on the wall of our office with all the kids participating to the tutoring. Each kid has his own frame where he receives the appreciations. The tutors decide with the team member what the kid will receive. 3 different ways to evaluate them

  • A smiling face: for the good behaviour and the efforts that the kid make to learn +1 pt

  • A sad face: for the bad behaviour and the kid’s laxness -1 pt

  • A star: for the attendance (once per week) +1 pt

At the end of the month, we select the three best pupils and reward them with a present.

With this we want to help the kids to get motivated and not to make them compete with each other’s.  We can also observe who is doing efforts and who isn’t. So we can react and help the kids who need to be framed the most. And of course, this is a way to make them understand that they come here to learn and improve, not only to spend time after school.

See you every month for the results.
